the author Theo
Verwey is a clinical psychologist and has been in private practice
since 1989. He established the Alkogen Energetic Centre (Alkogen
Treatment Network since May 2004) in association with several other
private practitioners in April 1995. He has since been involved in the
treatment of more than 6000 people suffering from chronic disorders
associated with NAD Energy Deficiency (NED), and also their families.
He is a well known guest speaker on various radio shows. He is the
founding member of Alkogen Products in 1997. His
professional career started off with people suffering from NED, which
includes various substance dependencies, and as a result incorporated
the psychopharmacological action and effect of these in a treatment
approach called NAD Therapy. Conducting research in this field, he
investigated NAD and NED, and expanded his theoretical approach to the
treatment of NED with the knowledge thus gained. His postgraduate
training in physiological psychology is also incorporated in his work.
He endeavours to present his approach from his Christian perspective
while incorporating and appreciating each patient’s religious
beliefs. The
author’s ideas presented in this e-book are the culmination
of research findings and clinical experience that started in 1988 to
overcome the disillusionment with the traditionally based treatment
efforts of more than 2000 alcoholics and their loved ones. It also
incorporates the enlightening experience gained from later clinical
work with more than 4000 addiction free patients presenting with NAD
Energy Deficiency Related Syndromes. The
experience was acquired in a multi professional treatment set-up
including medical doctors, remedial teachers, psychologists,
dieticians, and pastoral counsellors, social workers, nursing sisters,
behavioural-geneticists, pharmacists and homeopaths. The ultimate
learning process was the shared joy of the quality of life regained by
most of the 6000 patients on NAD Therapy. The learning process has a
clear beginning but no foreseeable end as will become evident from the
studies referred to in the NAD Therapy: Too Good To Be True? e-book.
What is
NAD Energy Deficiency? Research
indicates that 10% of the world population is suffering from a
genetically inherited NAD Energy Deficiency that is transferred from
mother to child at the moment of conception.
